In Kingdoms and Castles people focus on increasing a kingdom from the little hamlet to your sprawling area and imposing castle. Your kingdom must survive a dangerous and living world. Do the viking raiders make off together with your villagers? Or are they stopped, high in arrows, at the castle gates? Does a dragon torch your people dying of misery within the winter, your granary, or are you able to turn the monster back? The success of the kingdom depends solely on your talent like an adventure and city planner. Inspired Banished, from the SimCity series, and Stronghold, Kingdoms and Castles is a game about imposing castle and developing a kingdom from a small hamlet into a vast city. I like city building activities and I like real time strategy games that let me turtle up. Kingdoms and Castles looks like a bit of both: agame about developing a village, making certain it’s the foodstuff and methods it requires, and defending it by building a castle and building an army to fight off the viking invaders, dragons and other foes that’ll appear in your doorstep.
