Proven Lands PC Game is a vast procedurally generated science-fiction sandbox roguelike with an emphasis on exploration, inspired by Star Trek, Don’t Starve, Project Zomboid and Cataclysm. You may also like The Potato Problem Game
This isn’t just another sandbox survival game; here there is an emphasis on exploration and storytelling. The narrative of Proven Lands PC Game unfolds in two different ways, one is a scripted story about friendship, bravery and even pregnancy, while another is generated by an AI game-master that reacts to the player, weaving an exceptional game-playing experience for each playthrough. Both of these options sound fantastic, though, for a pure sandbox experience, the player will have the choice to turn the scripted narrative off.
Sci-fi-survival exploration game Proven Lands PC Game — in which you are an astronaut stranded on an alien planet — is at a relatively early stage in development at this time, but I am already sold on the idea: having crash-landed on a remote planet, you must find scattered pieces of equipment from your craft, and survive the world’s alien biology, in addition to your traits and moods.
The planets of Proven Lands PC Game look fantastic, a lot of work has gone in to making it them feel like a real alien landscape, with diverse creatures living in their ecosystems. As you traverse the landscape, you’ll encounter weather effects, natural disasters, an assortment of topographies, enemies and AI companions (such as a cat in its very own cat spacesuit). You’ll also construct, craft, utilize vehicles, create outposts, progress your preferred character type, choose alliances and travel to other planets; it’s a fairly ambitious game.
The Pre-Alpha is a early build, so naturally, is nowhere near fully featured. Although pretty basic right now, the Pre-Alpha does give you a basic general feel of the game, and a feeling that the finished product could be something entirely individual.
In Proven Lands PC Game survival is our most powerful concept. It starts with a stranded astronaut — you. You fight hunger, thirst, strange creatures, weather and even the character itself. Give the pre alpha demo a try, try to survive for a couple of days. Right at this moment, you’re ready to eat everything with your helmet on (for demonstration reasons) but since we aim to be a tricky sci-fi game later on you are going to have to take off your mask first before you can eat anything. Your first space suit is weak and old. However you’ll need an armored one to endure against stronger animals and armed forces later on — oh, and you’ll need better weapons than an ax.
Whenever you’ve mastered the first terrain biome (desert), there’ll be plenty to discover like steppes, savannahs like surroundings, forests, big rivers, caves and different planet types such as volcano or ice – each filled with a lot of items and characters. The AI game master will observe your influence in a region so after a while more intelligent animals, and perhaps even aliens will start to attack you. First off though we start with easy strange villagers and introduce you to a rather basic narrative. And, as it is a sci-fi survival game, build devices, smaller machines, factories and until you upgrade your “camp” to a small one-man outpost — like an advanced field in Don’t Starve, only deeper, larger, and much more sci-fi.
