Rising Storm 2 Vietnam could be the sequel to PC Gamer’s 2013 ‘Multiplayer Sport of the Year’, developed by Antimatter Games, the exact same group that developed the award-winning and posted by Tripwire Interactive modern asymmetric gameplay of the first Rising Storm. For the first time, the Red Orchestra series’ authentic visceral first-person and gunplay action is arriving at an era of automatic firearms, manportable grenade launchers and much more modern weapons systems.
Rising Storm 2 Vietnam is an amazing looking fresh game that requires the gritty and intense first person combat of the most popular Red Orchestra collection and conveys it into the Vietnam conflict – which makes some unique asymmetrical gameplay features whilst the heavily armed US Forces face-off from the guerrilla tactics of the Vietnamese. In most wargames the sides are pretty similar, virtually just utilizing vehicles and the same weaponry with different skins. Not so in Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, since it accurately recreates the combat inside the Vietnam conflict when ambushes and guerrilla tactics stood toe with all the whole might of the US Military to toe. As well as offering the real and raw approach to warfare the Red Orchestra line is famous for, Rising Storm 2 Vietnam will feature large scale 64-player challenges, incentives for joining up with friends, Water Workshop help and new game modes suited to small-scale or large-scale combat. Rising Storm 2 Vietnam is an alluring possibility, providing authentic, visceral battle that may need some very different techniques depending on what aspect of the war you’re on. Sign up for the apocalypse now, so if you’d prefer to enter there first!
