Saber Rider And The Star Sheriffs Demo is a retro arcade action game based on the classic 80’s Anime collection of the same title that blends Contra-esque on-foot run and gun battle, R-Type motivated side-scrolling shooting and giant mech combat. You may also like Wild Flirting Video Game
For those unaware Saber Rider And The Star Sheriffs Demo was a favorite 80’s Anime cartoon that was like a combination of BraveStarr and Voltron, with a group of heroes fighting enemies known as Outriders with a prototype spaceship called the “Ramrod Equalizer Unit.” This ship can transform into a giant robot to enable the team to fight the Outrider’s active legion of robots and superior technology.
The Saber Rider And The Star Sheriffs Demo Alpha Demo construct is still quite early in evolution, and the gameplay does feel a little bit necessary at the moment, but the art and sound are superb. It now only features one playable character (Fireball) and one on-foot gun and runs degree, so there is no spaceship or mech action, but it is an enjoyable game that offers up an excellent bit of challenge as a result of its continuous barrage of enemies operating in from either side.
It still has ways to go gameplay-wise, but the devs have already pinpointed the visuals and tone of the game, feeling very much like a classic, somewhat cheesy 80’s Saturday morning cartoon. It is not just the visuals, and IP that is retro either, the platforms that it is coming to are too — along with 3DS, PC, Mac and Linux, Saber Rider And The Star Sheriffs Demo is also coming to Sega Dreamcast and PC Engine!
The Saber Rider And The Star Sheriffs Demo series includes a thrilling space western themed narrative, four main heroes, a giant Cowboy Mech known as Ramrod, some badass enemies called Outriders with their leaders Gattler the Rattler, Jesse Blue the traitor and Nemesis.
Saber Rider And The Star Sheriffs Demo includes a classic arcade style from the 80’s. The game has been designed with 16-Bit graphics. What better way to symbolize the late 80’s Video Game History than first class 16-Bit pixel art images?

Secrets to discover
From the far away future… Humans have spread beyond living on Earth (Yuma) and have colonized planets throughout the world, making a New Frontier of guy. To protect these new settlers and preserve law and order in the New Frontier, Earth’s Cavalry Command was established. Cavalry Command is a military organization that maintains an army and fleet of boats to protect the New Frontier and the inhabitants of the planets inside called Settlers. Within Cavalry Control is a component of special operatives called Star Sheriffs that serve as the organization’s field representatives, investigating any crimes and plots that threaten the safety of the New Frontier.
The primary foe of Cavalry Command and the Star Sheriffs is a race of no invasive creatures, Vapor Beings, also referred to as Outriders, that have jumped into our measurement to conquer it. They assault the Settlers, ruin settlements, and kidnap humans to mine many crystals or metals from the land of various planets.
Outriders are superior to people in battle technology. They control a legion of gigantic robots called Renegade Desperado Units with weapons significantly superior to the weapons and defenses of their space-going fleets of Cavalry Command. In response to the Outriders’ threat, Cavalry Command develops a prototype spaceship called the “Ramrod Equalizer Unit” which has the power to transform from a ship into a powerful robot that could combat the Outriders on equal conditions.
All the 12 Missions will be packaged with lots of action.
Before each mission begins, a Mission Briefing has been held.
The mission objective will be given by a superior officer and based on the narrative that person will change and other characters look.
When the mission begins, the player will control one of the four heroes in classic side scrolling run N gun mode, best know from games like Konami’s Contra, Sunset Riders or Alien Soldier. It’s possible to accumulate weapon upgrades, health items or grenades. Sometimes also unique items will need to be collected to proceed with the assignment. The player also must endure several Mini Boss Attacks.
Some assignments require the use of these heroes vehicles to be able to proceed the transfer. The gameplay will be exhibited in classic side scrolling style best know from games like R-Type, Gradius or Darius.
Apparently, our sport will also offer Boss fights, and they’ll be big!
The Outriders are always using giant mechs known as Renegade Desperado Units as their last resort when their plans do not work out.
Each Renegade differs in appearance, strength, and skills. Therefore each Boss Fight requires a different approach to win.
To withstand such a Renegade attack the player must enter the dominant Challenge Phase.
